Nous savons très peu de choses sur la reproduction du cotinga noir.

Le cotinga noir est presque menacé. Il y en a peu, ce qui le rend rare. Il est d’abord victime de la destruction de son biotope. La forêt est de plus en plus exploitée. Il semble aussi que le cotinga noir soit occasionnellement chassé pour finir dans une assiette. Notre oiseau a quand même une petite chance puisqu’il y a quelques parcs protégés là où il vit. Mais son territoire est petit et se situe dans une région de plus en plus urbanisée.

We know very little about the reproduction of the Black and gold Cotinga.

The Black and gold Cotinga is almost threatened. There are few, which makes it rare. It is first victim of the destruction of its biotope. The forest is increasingly exploited. It also seems that the Black and gold Cotinga is occasionally hunted to end up on a plate. Our bird still has a small chance since there are some protected parks where it lives. But its territory is small and is located in an increasingly urbanized region.
