Le tisserin à tête jaune est monogame. La période de reproduction varie selon la région où il vit. Cela peut se passer en automne, en hiver ou au printemps. Contrairement à d’autres tisserins, il ne niche pas en colonie mais bien seul de son côté. La ponte est de 2 œufs que la femelle couve seule. Par contre, le mâle s’associe à la femelle pour nourrir les jeunes. A priori, les scientifiques savent encore peu de chose sur notre tisserin à tête jaune.

The Black-billed Weaver is a monogamous bird. The breeding period varies according to the region where it lives. This can happen in autumn, winter or spring. Unlike other weavers, it does not breed in the colony but on its own. The clutch is 2 eggs that the female hatches alone. However, the male joins with the female to feed the young. Specialists apparently still know little about this Black-billed Weaver.
